Namely is also a good one for Mac OS X users...

It's like spotlight, only faster, easier, it learns what apps you use most, and it is just all around better (in my opinion).

Keybreeze is my preferred launcher of choice. It's like a merge of Launchy, Autohotkey, and Google Desktop all together. Plus it's lightweight and free.

I have looked at many. The only one that is still installed and useful is sTabLauncher. (Windows)

Free, works, easy to configure. (I can drag icons from desktop to launcher or drag them arround)

Very configurable.

Colorful.

FREE.... So I can give it to clients.

http://stablauncher.com/

Take a look at the screen shorts http://stablauncher.com/screenshots.htm
This gives you a good idea how it will work.

When you have a moment, why don't we talk, and let me show you some stuff. Also, take a look at our vision, i.e. http://www.activewords.com/vision.html .

Not sure any of our competitors have thought a lot of this stuff through.

Hi Kal,
Thanks for your comment, keep them coming as informative and enthusiastic as possible :)

I'm not sure if AutoHotKey does the application launching part that QuickSilver & co do, I'll look into it as I've never used it.
Any tip is welcome here, so we'll probably have very soon a few articles dedicated to AutoHotKey and other apps in its class.
Once again, thanks for the input!

My power tool of choice is AutoHotKey.
http://www.autohotkey.com/

It is a powerful automation tool with a fully loaded scripting language. I use it to automate all my repetitive tasks including: Hotkeys for launching applications, hotkeys to launch my webbrowser and pull up the Wikipedia page for the word that is currently on the clipboard, Auto-replace abbreviations, create macros for gaming, and even defrag my harddrive regularly. I also wrote an application with it to monitor my typing speed in real time, and record it over time, and create statistics for me.

That reads like an advertisement, but that's because I'm such an enthusiast about it. :D

With Autohotkey, you don't need anything else.
