If I may add, acing an exam is easy if you have a motivation. Whatever motivation you have, go on. Because you can't do good if you don't have a clear objective of why you are doing it.

Amyway, your recommendations were pretty cool. I may suggest them to my friends.

Thanks.

I did the opposite, I went to all my classes, and aced my in-term tests and assignments. When it came to the exam, even if I didn't answer one question, I passed the course. This worked well for my classes in which the exam was worth 35% of my total mark or less.
This allowed me to be very calm while studying and writing the exam that I would end up doing well on the exam itself. Unfortunately it took me to the last year to figure this out.

Gread advice! I'd only add the following:
Create your own mind map of all the chapters of the topic you are studying, so that you get the big picture and have an index of all the information.
Draw a circle with the topic in the middle of a sheet of paper. For each circle topic add subtopics.

If you're studying for a math exam, sometimes you have to learn proofs for theorems. I've always had problems with that, so what you can do is make a list of all the proofs that you need to know.
Then start proving them, and each time you get everything right, draw a green dot next to the list item. Each time you do a mistake, add a red dot next to the item. Finally, the goal is to have twice as many green dots as red ones. (I hope this is not confusing) It's hard work but success is guaranteed!

By doing this, the goal is not to learn everything by heart but rather to make more connections between different topics and understand everything better.
