"Press Option-Command-Shift-Delete during startup Bypass primary startup volume and seek a different startup volume (such as a CD or external disk)"

Pressing JUST option during startup will bring you to the boot menu, which is what you are describing. Not sure where you got the other keys from. Probably overkill :P

another little tip:
start up holding down command shift S - this forces a startup in Unix and runs all sorts of disk repair utilities as a matter of course. Then, if the machine does not startup automatically you need to type in reboot and hit return.

I seem to recall I had a problem with the two finger secondary click option when I first used it. I had to enable it, and restart the machine. It then somehow got disabled, so had to re-enable it and restart again.

It all worked fine then.

It was straight after the two finger click was released so I'd have thought it would work as expected now!

i have a 12" ibook g4 powerpc (not intel) and the two fingered secondary click on the trackpad works great for me. i got rid of tiger and did a system restore though. that could be the difference. maybe those of you who are having difficulties just upgraded? i don't know why it won't work for you, but i know it works for me.
